Sasso Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)
Here are the questions we hear most from countertop fabricators looking at SASSO CNC bridge saws, sawjets, edge polishers and slab polishers. If you don’t see your question, call us or request a quote and we’ll get you answers for your shop.
What kinds of machines does SASSO make?
SASSO builds three main types of stone fabrication machinery:
• Five-axis CNC bridge saws and sawjets for cutting and mitering slabs
• Edge polishers (line machines) for flat and radius edges
• A bridge polisher for slab finishing
Our K-series saws handle cutting and miters, the RDM and Flat/Bull/Revolution models handle edges, and the K-LUX polisher handles honing and leather finishes.
What materials can your machines process?
Our five-axis saws and sawjets cut granite, marble, quartz, quartzite, porcelain and other natural and engineered stone. The K600J sawjet can also process materials like metal, glass and wood with its waterjet. Edge polishers and the K-LUX bridge polisher are designed for the same range of stone materials. Get a Quote.
How do I choose the right saw for my shop?
Most shops start with a 5-axis CNC bridge saw such as the K600 Ultimate for everyday countertop work. A sawjet makes sense if you cut a lot of quartzite, porcelain or detailed shapes and want to reduce hand grinding. Higher-horsepower models like the K725 Beast or K900/K1200 are better for heavy architectural and monument work. The best choice depends on your volume, material mix and crew size, so we usually walk through your jobs and recommend a setup.

Do you sell used or refurbished machines?
Yes. We refurbish select SASSO machines at our Houston facility and sell them as SASSO Factory Refurbished units with installation, training and a factory warranty. We also host the Used Stone Machinery Locator, a free classifieds platform where fabricators can buy and sell machines of any brand directly to each other.

Do you offer financing?
We work with lenders who specialize in equipment financing for stone fabrication shops. They can often finance new SASSO machines, refurbished units and sometimes other shop equipment as part of the same package. Our sales team can connect you with lenders and help you understand payment and ROI options for your situation.
Can I talk to current SASSO owners before I buy?
Yes. Many SASSO customers are happy to share how they use their machines and what changed in their shop. We can connect you with fabricators who run similar materials and volume so you can hear straight from other shop owners before you commit. Check out the Sasso Owners Group on FaceBook.
What do I need in my shop to install a SASSO saw or sawjet?
Each model gets intalled by our US Based techs, but in general you will need: proper three-phase power, clean water supply and drainage, compressed air, and a level concrete foundation with enough space for the machine and service access. The machine weight and rigging requirements mean most shops use professional riggers for unloading and placement. We provide exact specs so your electrician and plumber can prepare before delivery.
How long does installation and startup take?
Once the site is ready, a typical CNC bridge saw installation takes a few days. Our technicians install and level the machine, run test cuts and then train your team on real jobs from your shop. Most customers are cutting production parts within the first week.
Do you provide training for my team?
Yes. We train saw operators and office staff on the SASSO controls and on the chosen CAD/CAM software. Training covers loading jobs, nesting, setting tools, running cuts and basic maintenance. It starts during installation in your shop and continues with phone, video or remote sessions as needed.
Which software do you support?
We support both Alphacam and DDX Easystone for programming SASSO saws. Both are widely used in the stone industry. If you already know one of them, we keep the machine training focused. If you are new to CAD, we can train you step by step and keep working with you after the machine arrives.
Which templating systems work with SASSO machines?
Our saws work with DXF files from all major digital templating systems, including Proliner and laser systems. Shops also run hand drawings converted to CAD and digitized stick templates. We can show you the complete workflow from template to cut for your current system and help you decide what makes sense if you are upgrading.

How do I get parts for my machine?
Our parts department stocks components for current and legacy SASSO machines in Houston. Having your model and serial number ready speeds things up, but we can often help even if you do not have the info. Contact the parts team directly and they will identify what you need and arrange shipment.
What is your warranty on new machines?
New SASSO machines include a one-year parts and labor warranty. Extended coverage and service plans are available through our sales team. The goal is to cover you while you learn the machine and put it into full production.
Do you provide service for older SASSO models?
Yes. We support current and legacy SASSO machines. Our technicians can help with troubleshooting, field service, parts and training for older saws, edge polishers and polishers that are still in production.
Do you support customers outside the United States?
We work with customers in other countries as well. Shipping, installation and support options depend on your location. Sales can explain what is possible for your shop and coordinate with our technical team.
